One character, creature, or item per prompt works best. “Orange tabby kitten sitting” beats “a kitten in a sunny meadow” — backgrounds get removed anyway.
Steer the style with era words
“8-bit NES style” gives you chunky low-color sprites, “16-bit SNES style” adds shading, “modern hi-bit” keeps clean edges at larger sizes. Pair with the size setting.
Match the view to your game
Side view suits platformers, front view suits RPG battlers, top-down suits roguelikes. Pick the camera first, then iterate on the subject.
